VANCOUVER, WA | July 7, 2020 — ConMet has announced a partnership with OptiCat to securely distribute PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) data to channel partners to be used on their e-commerce platforms. This is one more step in ConMet’s digital strategy towards expanding its sales and marketing resources to enhance customer support.
ConMet currently has data available within OptiCat for more than 450 aftermarket parts, including hubs, rotors, drums, kits, and components. The data conforms to industry standards and provides detailed information on attributes including unique product images, Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS) codes, Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs), product dimensions, and more. ConMet channel partners will be able to access the database after they complete the simple registration process on the OptiCat website, and once in the system, users will be able to customize the data format they need to fulfill their individual e-commerce platform requirements.
“This partnership reflects ConMet’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the growing digital needs of our customers. We look forward to sharing this easy-to-access data with each of our aftermarket partners,” commented Brian Rieger, Vice President of North America and Aftermarket Sales.
This milestone adds to ConMet’s continued drive to be at the forefront of supporting the digital requests of the commercial vehicle industry. ConMet offers several sales and marketing tools such as the best-in-class ConMet App (conmet.com/app); the industry’s first ConMet Replace Calculator (calculator.conmetwheelends.com); and their digital asset management tool, which provides internal and external customers access to marketing resources.
